  Diver
Meet diver. You, diver. His weaponry: infinite spears.

FACT: It's humanly impossible to carry any more than four regular-sized sportsman spears while swimming.

  Jellyfish
Jellyfish swim from the bottom of the screen to the top until they surface. One hit and it's jelly jam.

FACT: Jellyfish are very commonly found in warm waters, usually a great amount in June and July. These fish contain nematocysts (Nintendo + high school biology!), or stinging cells, used for paralyzing prey and predators. If stung by one, you will feel a slight sting and it may become numb soon after. Few are deadly to human beings. Trust me, I've been stung several times down the Jersey shore.

  Sting Ray
Sting ray swim in direct paths across screen. Two hits and it's scallops for dinner.

FACT: Rays are very common in both Eastern and Western coasts, though the species differ. I've caught quite a few fishing off the Jersey shore. They have been given the nickname of "devil fish" because of their long tails. These tails can regenerate within about a few months from being cut off. Fisherman and aquarists alike take special precautions when handling. A sting is incredibly painful. I know of one 30-some year old man who caught one while surf fishing and cried so loud that people came from all over the beach. When stung, the victim must immediately seek medical help or he or she will become very ill, and in extreme cases, even die from the poison. The injection can come from its horned tail or throughout its spiny horns found at the center of the fish.

  Baby Jaws
They travel alone when you're at your first power level, but when you begin to advance through the game, they will travel in schools of up to five at a time. The toughest minor enemy of the game, one can take up to 10 hits to destroy.

FACT: Both younger and older sharks usually swim together. To breathe, sharks must constantly swim at all times or find a highly enriched oxygen area. In fact, there has been a report last year (2000) that a group of sharks have been found hanging out in a hidden cove at an exotic location. This is a rare sight to see non-moving sharks all in one area. When scientists did research on this specific site, they found out that this one cove had an unique amount of oxygen and thus they were able to survive staying motionless. In theory, they were getting their fair share, or in crude terms, "getting high," until they needed to find food to survive.

  Jaws
The main bad boy, the king of the ocean, the 7th wonder of the world... the 5-foot robotic shark! Jaws is the boss and requires a power level of 4 or 5 to beat in one scene (although level 3 is possible). After you defeat him underwater, you must then finish him with your ship's mast during the final showdown.

FACT: Gigantic great white sharks are so powerful that fishermen have to blast off their heads with a shotgun and must remain away from the dismembered body because the head will still attack. That's how truly monstrous these beasts actually are.
