24-in-1 Famicom Cart
By: Jackalneo
Origin: ?
# of Games: 24… not really
Type: Famicom Game Cart
Introduction
Hey foos, Jackal here with the ho-down on a 24 in 1 pirate cartridge. This is probably one of THE most stereotypical pirate cartridges except for one fact. It has a few uncommon games on it.
I picked this cart up with a honeybee, gold, Famicom to NES converter for $4.00. Not bad, eh?
Physical Appearance

Alright, stereotypical point # 1: Label art. It shows many games… some of which aren’t even on the cartridge! Very poorly done… The back label shows Japanese writing. It is most likely telling the games on the cart.

Stereotypical point #2: Look how many “Tank” games there are! Could they be repeats? Of course!
Bubble Bobble – Just like it says, this is Bubble Bobble in all its glory. It plays exactly the same as the NES cart. Quite an oddity in a pirate cartridge I presume (Exception #1)
Adventure Island – This is the game Adventure Island with a Japanese title screen. It is left intact, and untouched by the pirates. A virgin of sorts.. Lets see if this trend keeps up!
The Legend of Kage – Same as the North American version but with a Japanese title screen. All the ninja flying action a player could ever want! Pretty fun actually.
Tetris II - Another rarity in the kingdom of Famicom piracy. This game is actually Tengen’s version of Tetris.(Exception #2) It is far superior to Nintendo’s crappy version. The pirates took out the title screen on this game for some reason or another.
Super Mario – This is the game Super Mario Bros. It is a plain version without hacks and what-not. It’s a classic to say the least. It is EXTREMELY common on pirate carts.
Galaxian – This is the game Galaxian with a hacked title screen. It says “A B E I L L E” instead… Strange choice of words if you ask me. The classic space shooter is still 100% fun and intact otherwise.
Adventure 1 – This is a hacked version of “Adventure Island”. Master Higgins starts with the tomahawk, and skateboard in this one.
Adventure 2 – This is another hacked version of “Adventure Island”. Master Higgins starts with fire power, and a skateboard this time.
Fast Mario – This hack of Super Mario Bros. is almost identical to original. Fast, you ask? No, Mario doesn’t run faster.. at least not during gameplay. When he hops off of the flagpole, he gives a hustle to get inside the castle. Perhaps there is pasta inside!
)
Super Galaxian – Super Galaxian is the exact same as “Galaxian”, but the your ship shoots faster. It gives the game the extra spunk it needs.
(Stereotypical point #3: the above 4 games are hacked versions of other games on the same cart.)
Tank 1A – The “Tank” series is usually referred to as “Battle City” on other pirate carts. Basically, you are a tank that must protect your base. If another tank blows it up, you lose. The following “Tank” games are identical with the exception of the “1A” number.
Tank 2A – See “Tank 1A”
Tank 3A – See “Tank 1A”
Tank 1B – See “Tank 1A”
Tank 2B – See “Tank 1A”
Tank 3B – See “Tank 1A”
Tank -I – For some reason, the pirates decided to break the pattern…
Tank 1C – See “Tank 1A”
Tank 2C – See “Tank 1A”
Tank 3C – See “Tank 1A”
Tank 1D – See “Tank 1A”
Tank 2D – See “Tank 1A”
Tank 3D – Despite popular opinion, the game is not 3-d.
Tank 1C – See “Tank 1A”
Tank -II – Again with the dashes and “I’s”!
(Stereotypical point #3: The last 14 games were repeats! It seems the pirates couldn’t uphold their promise of 24 games!).
Final Thoughts
This is an extremely stereotypical pirated Famicom cartridge with a few uncommon games. It’s definitely not the best pirate cartridge around.
